Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry signs MOU with One Business Season
The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with One Business Season to strengthen collaboration in trade, investment promotion and international business, extending the initiative's growing network across Pakistan.
The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with One Business Season, the global business ecosystem initiative of the Office of H.H. Sheikh AbdulHakim Al Maktoum Holding Group. The agreement is aimed at strengthening collaboration across trade, investment promotion, international business networking, entrepreneurship development, knowledge sharing and global market connectivity, and it deepens the initiative's presence in Pakistan, one of the region's largest and most dynamic markets. It was signed by Faheem ur Rehman Saigol, President of the Lahore Chamber, and Mian Sardar Ali Gehlan, Board Member and Director of One Business Season.
The partnership connects one of Pakistan's most established business bodies with an international network that now spans more than 60 countries. For the Lahore Chamber, it opens a direct channel to investors, partners and markets beyond the country's borders. For One Business Season, it adds a trusted local anchor in a market of real scale, with the kind of established relationships and reach that take years to build and cannot be assembled from the outside.
What the agreement sets out to do
A Memorandum of Understanding is a statement of intent rather than a binding commitment, and at this stage that is precisely its value. It establishes the framework through which the two sides will work together, defines the areas they intend to pursue first, and creates the working relationship out of which specific initiatives can later be developed. The intent here is practical, aimed at facilitating business to business, business to government and investor engagement opportunities, while supporting startups, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and cross-border business partnerships.

Building the network, one market at a time
This agreement does not stand alone. It follows a series of similar partnerships that One Business Season has been assembling across the region and the wider world, each one adding another node to a growing global network. The pattern is the important part. A single memorandum is a modest thing on its own, but a steady accumulation of them, each linking a major local institution into the same platform, is how a genuine international ecosystem is built. Pakistan, with its large population, its entrepreneurial base and its appetite for international trade, is a natural place to deepen that effort.
Our reading
Two points stand out. First, partnering with an established chamber rather than starting from scratch is the efficient way to enter a market, because a chamber brings ready-made trust, membership and reach that would otherwise take years to earn. Second, the value of an arrangement like this compounds over time, as a shared framework and aligned interests turn into repeat activity and concrete deals that a one-off engagement never could. We read the agreement as another deliberate step in the same strategy, connecting major business communities into a single collaborative platform, and treating the work of building a global ecosystem as a long and patient effort rather than a single announcement.
